Review by hotel critic
Review of Regente Hotel, OviedoDuring our recent family vacation in Oviedo, we chose the Regente Hotel for its promising location and amenities. While our experience had mixed elements, it was overall satisfactory. Initially, we encountered challenges with our first room, where noisy plumbing and street sounds disrupted our stay. We were pleased to find enhancements in room 601, which offered better comfort and tranquility for our family. The spaciousness of both rooms was a great feature, allowing us to unwind after daily excursions. As we explored nearby attractions, including the charming old town and the Teatro Campoamor for a delightful opera experience, the hotel’s location became an asset. The walk to the bustling area with cafes, particularly vibrant during late evenings, was a highlight. Breakfast options catered more towards business travelers with a basic selection, prompting us to explore local eateries. The staff's friendliness, especially towards our daughter, improved after our initial check-in, making us feel more welcomed. The Regente is positioned as a comfortable base for family adventures in Oviedo.
